Meet Our Coaches
I’ve been a coach with First Tee-Howard County for 20+ years, and am also a HCPSS teacher and football coach.
I’ve also enjoyed coaching allied golf.
I am a Level 3 FIrst Tee coach who has been coaching for more than 20 years.
I have been a Level 1 First Tee coach for the past 10 years, and serve on the board of directors as the coach representative.
This year is my 4th year teaching and I can say I have enjoyed teaching every year. Since I have started, I have used different things like games and competitions to help the kids learn the technique I am teaching and also enjoy themselves while they are learning.
This is my third session coaching with First Tee, and I’m ACT Certified.
This is my third year volunteering with the First Tee-Howard County. Some golf-related fun facts about me are that I have been playing since I was about 6 years old and am currently a scratch golfer.
I have been involved with the First Tee for the past fourteen years as a participant and now as a coach. I have attended National Participant opportunities and chaperoned an academy. I played college golf at Christopher Newport University and am also involved with Special Olympics Golf of Maryland.
I’m ACT certified and going into my second year coaching with First Tee, but have been playing golf for eight years.
My name is Jason David. Level 1 ACT. (I’m a volunteer). In my day job, I’m an Active Duty Air Force, Chief Master Sergeant (E-9).
I love golf and find it very rewarding to guide children of all ages in the areas of resiliency and responsibility! Just ask my daughter!
I grew up in Mount Airy and currently live in Ellicott City with my wife and two dogs. I’ve loved golf since I was in grade school. I play in my free time and often play with friends and family when I get the chance. I’ve played a number of sports growing up including soccer and basketball through high school, and have always enjoyed going to professional sporting events and social gatherings. First Tee has been great exposure to the real world and golf for the kids and for myself as a coach!
